Men’s Tennis

   On Tuesday, April 1, the Brooklyn College Men’s Tennis team continued their winning streak against Lehman College, scoring 9-0. 

   The Bulldogs took a lead of three points, succeeding a doubles play with players Ryan Sham and Craig Pazarecki, taking a win of 8-0 at the first slot. Players Ryan Badre-Hume and Maximilano Jarry Monroy followed with a win at the second slot via a score of 8-0. Allen Mardakhayev and Mujibar Shaad then finished double play with a victory in the third slot via a score of 8-2. 

   The doubles play was followed by singles matches. Shaad won the first singles match, followed by Sham, Mardakhayev, Dennis Shender, and Badre-Hume. 

   The Bulldogs won the game through three out of three wins in doubles, succeeding with another successful three wins in singles. 

   On Thursday, April 3, the Men’s Tennis was scheduled to go against Mount Saint Mary College, however, that game was postponed to an unscheduled date. 

   The men’s tennis team remains undefeated in conference play. The team will be moving forward with a game on April 9 against Hunter College. 

 

Men’s Volleyball

  Going paw-to-talon the BC men’s Volleyball team faced the Hunter Hawks on Tuesday, April 1. This game was the season finale of the regular season and the last game before the CUNYAC championships. 

   Hunter started off strong, with a 5-0 against BC. This, however, would start a cycle between the teams each gaining and losing the lead multiple times. The scores of the first through third rounds were 21-25, 20-25, and 11-25, respectively, with BC gaining the lesser half each time.Hunter ultimately won the match via a score of 3-0.

   On Tuesday, April 8, the Bulldogs played their first game of the CUNYAC conference against York College in the home gymnasium. With 14 kills by Aaron Siu, nine digs by Dion Csikortos, two blocks by Yinuo Zhang, and 29 assists by David Lema, the Bulldogs won the game via a score of 3-0.    

   The season is not over yet, as the Bulldogs still have their foot in the door with their next game of the CUNYAC championships on Thursday, April 10. The BC men’s volleyball team will advance to their first semi final since 2017.
