Men’s Soccer Looking To Find Their Spark

   With a couple of games being postponed, the Bulldogs are looking to find their footing in the beginning stages of the season. The Bulldogs took on SUNY Old Westbury on Wednesday, Sept. 13, looking for a spark to ignite their season. Unfortunately, the home team suffered a devastating loss, and Old Westbury stole a 2-1 victory in the closing minutes.

   Before the end of the first half, Old Westbury struck a goal to put them up 1-0. In the middle of the second half, Old Westbury gave themselves a cushion by going up 2-0. At the 79-minute mark, the Bulldogs got on the board by junior forward Jasper Ehrhardt.

   After the tough loss, the Bulldogs also suffered on Thursday, Sept. 14, in a game against Purchase College. In an intense attack, Purchase College commanded a 5-1 victory. The Bulldogs were unable to stop the attack. The team is looking to bounce back next week against Pratt Institute on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 4 p.m.

 

Women’s Soccer Bounces Back From Tough Losses

   Heading into a challenging away game at the University of Valley Forge on Tuesday, Sept. 12, the Bulldogs were able to bounce back and show resilience by obtaining a 3-0 victory. Freshman back Abigail Joseph scored her first two goals in her collegiate career. At the 51-minute mark, Flor Ramos struck the final goal into the back of the net. The Bulldogs outshot the Patriots 16-2.

   With their victory, the Bulldogs were looking to keep the winning streak alive as they took on St. Joseph’s Brooklyn at home on Saturday, Sept. 16. In a back-and-forth match, it came down to the final minutes to determine who would be the victor. At the 70-minute mark, St. Joseph’s struck a goal first to take control of the game. The Bulldogs retaliated later in the game and tied 1-1, showing they wouldn’t go down without a fight. In the closing minutes, both teams fought, and it came down to a tie.

 

Women’s Tennis Retaliates With A Huge Win

   After suffering a tough loss to Sarah Lawrence College on Saturday, Sept. 9, the Bulldogs looked to bounce back at York College on Thursday, Sept. 14. The Bulldogs opened the doubles with three dominant victories. The same followed for the Bulldogs in the singles match, winning all six of them. The Bulldogs finished with a 9-0 victory, showing true resilience.
